AYSO REGION 6
SEASON INFORMATION SHEET
 
Ages 4-7:
·         Should receive a call from a coach after August 20th.
·         You will need to purchase shin guards. Cleats are optional but most players prefer them.
·         Practices are determined by the coach. Once or twice a week.
·         Opening Day/Pictures September 10th.
·         First game September 17th.
·         Last game November 19th.
Ages 8-13:
 
·         Should receive a call from a coach after August 6th.  BU10/BU12/GU14 after August 17th.
·         You will need to purchase shin guards and cleats.
·         Practices are determined by the coach. Once or twice a week.
·         Opening Day/Picture September 10th.
·         First game may be before September 17th.  U12/U14 may have weeknight games at Daniel's Field.
·         Last REGULAR SEASON game November 19th.
·         There will be a tournament for all players after Thanksgiving.
·         U10 Dec. 3rd and 4th U12-U14 Dec. 10th and 11th with finals held at Daniels Field Dec. 13th-15th.
·         1st place teams may extend into Area Play after the Holidays into January and possibly Section Play-offs in February.

*Each player ages U6-U14 will receive a uniform (jersey, shorts, socks), pictures and trophy.
 
Ages 14-18:
 
·         You should hear from a coach after August 6th.
·         Opening Day/Pictures Sept. 10th.
·         First games start Sept. 10th and 11th.
·         Season ends November 30th.
Games will be played at Ladera Linda in Rancho Palos Verdes.


*Each player receives a uniform (jersey, shorts, socks) and pictures.

How is the RC elected?

Each Regional Commissioner shall be nominated by a majority of the Regional Board in accordance with the Regional guidelines in effect for each Region or, in the absence of any such nomination, by the Area Director. Subject to the approval of the Area Director and the Section Director, a Commissioner shall be appointed by the Board for a term of three years. If there are term limitations in the Region's guidelines that specify a shorter term of office, the appointment shall be for the term specified in those Regional guidelines. A Regional Commissioner shall have the responsibility and authority to administer the day-to-day business of the Region within the framework of these Bylaws, including without limitation, Section 1.04 hereof, and the Regional guidelines of the Region. A Regional Commissioner shall maintain close liaison with the Area Director and coordinate inter-Area activities through the Area Director.
